CARDIAC REHAB RN PRN (cross train for ED as well)
POSITION: Cardiac Rehab RN PRN
POSITION NO: 100325
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing patient education, facilitation of appropriate, safe, healthy discharge from cardiac rehabilitation program. Guide patients through assessment, therapeutic exercise and monitoring designed to help the patient regain previous level of functioning and build stamina. Provide education needed to live a heart healthy lifestyle. Assist patient in managing illness and reducing the number of physician/ hospital contacts the patient may require. Prior authorization is completed, physician orders are obtained and all required documentation is completed as required. Complete billing entries for both Cardiac Rehab patients. Market this service via various forms of communications. This position may complete other duties as patient load and time permits. Shift: Typically between the hours of 7:00a and 4:30p, on occasion later than 4:30p. May cross train for ED.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current active RN license in Kentucky, or current working permit issued by KY Board of Nursing. Graduate of accredited school of Nursing. BLS and ACLS certification required
